Return Sailor Moon to the Cartoon Network firmar ahora

Addressed to Turner Broadcasting, operators of the Cartoon Network:

The animated cartoon series known as Sailor Moon has been a huge hit with American fans of all ages since it first aired in television stations across our country in the 1990s. Since the series began to air, a fan base quickly grew, and has sprouted into many fan clubs and web sites, in support of the entire Sailor Moon series not just those episodes that were dubbed in English and edited for American distribution, but all 200 episodes and several movies that were proven hits in its native Japan.

On Monday, June 3, 2002, the Turner Broadcasting-operated Cartoon Network returned Sailor Moon to its regular schedule, beginning with the very first episode. This news was to the delight of all of the American Sailor Moon fans. This was also a great opportunity for new people to explore the world of Serena, a school student who transforms into the Champion of Justice, to right wrongs and triumph over evil. The news of the series return was so great, it was advertised by the SOS: Save Our Sailors campaign at their web site, with two flyers inviting viewers to tune in.

Then, to everyones shock, on Monday, July 8, 2002, when everyone tuned in at 3:30 PM to watch Sailor Moon, they saw Ed, Edd, n Eddy instead. All of the moon fans were shocked and wondering why Sailor Moon was pulled after one month.

Some research on the Cartoon Networks web site then indicated that the next Sailor Moon episode would air Monday, August 5, 2002 at 3:30 PM. The episode scheduled to air is entitled Cherry Blossom Time. This is episode #45 in the series. The next episode in sequence, which was scheduled to air on Monday, July 8, 2002, was entitled Too Many Girlfriends, episode #25.

While it is obviously questionable why Sailor Moon was dropped from the network, supposedly for one month, it is even more questionable why Cartoon Network has chosen to skip twenty episodes in the series. These twenty episodes, as many fans will tell, are very important and integral to the Sailor Moon series. Some of the major events within this block include the discovery of the fifth Sailor Scout, Sailor Venus, and Sailor Moons battle with Queen Beryl of the Negaverse.

Some responses to the network dropping the series, as stated on a web bulletin board, included:

Just thought I would see what episode of Sailor Moon would be on. But apparently cartoon network canceled it
I went to go watch Sailor Moon today and I found out that it wasn't on.
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? I want my Moon back.
Hey, Sailor Moon isn't being shown on Cartoon Network on right now.
Is Sailor Moon being canceled? I was about to watch it on 7-8-02. But there was no Sailor Moon on. Can someone tell me whats going on?
According to both my digital cable's on-screen guide, my newspaper's TV guide and Cartoon Network's own schedule on their website, Sailor Moon has been cancelled for the whole week and replaced Sailor Moon is now dead in the USA.

NOW WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, request that Turner Broadcasting

1) Return the animated series known as Sailor Moon to the Cartoon Networks regular lineup, and
2) When the series does return, that it continue with the next episode in sequence, episode #25, entitled Too Many Girlfriends.
