We are against of Nuclear Power Stations in Malaysia sign now

To: Prime Minister of the Malaysia

We petition the Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak to the effect that we do not need Nuclear Power Stations in Malaysia, because nuclear power:
+ facilitates proliferation of nuclear weapons worldwide and endangers our security
+ amasses vast amounts of waste, which remains lethal for 100,000s years
+ estimate cost to built is RM21.3 Billion but Standard & Poor estimate the cost as RM 50 Billion. We know our estimation is always off target by 2 times or more.
+ has an exorbitant cost at an average of RM 0.50/kWh per unit according to Wall Street and the independent energy analysts. Our present cost is only RM 0.30/kWh per unit.
+ estimate 2,600 jobs will be created but other alternatives energy source if used will create more opportunity by 2.7 times for the work force.
+ will not provide the answer to climate change
+ has left a lethal legacy of tens of thousands abandoned uranium mines on the land of indigenous people worldwide
+ remember the disaster of Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986, we dont want to do another MALAYSIA BOLEH NUCLEAR DISASTER

We have not forgotten

+ we failed to built 1200 computer lab, the project was declare unsafe in March 2003 when the roof of the building in SRK Rentam, Kuantan collapsed
+ Trengganu Stadium Collapse
+ 16th April 2005, The Star reported 1 killed and 4 others seriously injured when the steel roof structure for the bowling stadium Paroi, Negri Sembilan under construction collapsed
+ 23rd July 2003, The Star reported EPF had to discontinue its housing projects on 419 pieces on land it owns in 2001 due to financial difficulties, poor planning & ineffective supervision, Kuala Kuantan Petaling district in Kuala Lumpur.A total of 486 pieces of EPF land worth RM854.48 million and to-date only 46 of them had been fully developed.
+ 8th October 2005, NST reported the roof of the multi-purpose hall at SM Sains Sultan Ahmad Shah in Kuantan collapsed.
+ the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) flyover in Kepong and the road below it after cracks appeared on a pillar
+ Leaking Parliament House
+ remember the Odd-job worker, he likes to be called, Panjang, has become a folk hero of sorts in Johor Baru for his determination to cover every pothole he sees. Shabby Road-works! We cannot build road that last why should we trust the government can build a safe Nuclear Power Plant.

Are we not afraid that with tight security we can lose Jet engines, missing uranium would be easier?

What is the point of being able to switch the light on if you cannot drink the water?

Sincerely,

Daniel
