Unjust Employer: Clearview Cinemas sign now

Dear Clearview Cinema & Cablevision Employers:

This is a direct petition against the policies bestowed by these here Company's. Here our demands(otherwise we threaten to "excuse" our work days for hereafter)

1.

Extra Pay on Holidays:

Extra payment on holidays is not a suggestion, but a requirement. This is an absolutely ridiculous request because it should've been done a very long time ago. This is one of the few employers in the world that simply do not offer courtesy payments from ripping workers away from their families on the holidays people all around the world enjoy.

Many employs can only see certain members of their family or friends on specific holidays (friends/family members in college, military, etc.) which we literally aren't "allowed" to take off for otherwise we'll be fired. I repeat this is a requirement that shouldn't even be mentioned here, I'm embarrassed to say that compensation is in order.

Fair and adjustable pay:

What this means is general higher pay. I think it's absolutely ludicrous. How is someone supposed to live on their own, pay for an apartment, a car/insurance, food, and college all for $7.25 an hour?

This is simply not possible, not everyone has friends or family to help them, not everyone can make accommodations with them, I and many workers are just simply appalled at the expectations of not even $1,000 a MONTH of 40+hours a week given to us by this here company.

Benefits Over Time & Motivational Increases:

From a business stand-point, this is simply a joke when I hear of my fellow workers getting a raise of 15 or so cents in an entire year of devotion and loyalty to said companies.

What type of motivation is this encouraging? Of course I openly welcome the free Optimum Package and Internet after 6 months- this was a great motivational idea and a more than an exceptional gesture; however what motivation is there for someone whose been working there for over a year? Some employees have been working in said companies for 10 years and more and yet have a measly $2 increase in salary and absolutely not benefits other than the said 6 month packages.

If more than exceptional employees is what these said companies are after, then its these said demands that they will need to achieve.

I appreciate anyone and everyone taking the time to read and sign this petition, such extreme unjusts simply cannot continue to be unnoticed.
