To: Judge Stephen Rideout- Restraining Orders Should not be so Easy to Obtain sign now

Back in the winter of 2000, my wife took my kids from North Carolina to Virginia, and she left me in a hospital bed. I tried to explain to the FBI that my wife had kidnapped my kids and took them to another state, but they said they do not get involved in domestic disputes.

After I recooperated from my operation, I went to Virginia to look for my kids. My wife was living with her parents in Alexandria, VA. My wife and in-laws that devised a plan to keep me away from my kids, who still miss me to this day. My wife went to the courthouse and got a restraining order against me. This restraining order was full of her lies and I had never laid a hand on her. The judge made it permanent for 6 months that I could not see my wife or kids and later it became permanent for life. I became so desperate one night, I called my wife's home in an attempt to talk to one of my children, and my wife had connected a recorder to the phone. She recorded our conversation and my telling her how desperately I missed our children. After I hung up, my wife and in-laws called the police to have me arrested.

I spent four years in jail at the Alexandria Detention Center because Judge Stephen Rideout had kept me in their for that long term, based on nothing more than a phone call and also my not being able to keep up with the strict terms of probation, which involved attending AA meetings every night. I had no transportation and had to find my way to AA meetings that were ten miles away from the shelter I was living in. I couldn't keep up so I went back to jail.

Judge Stephen Rideout has no conscience, and he routinely goes along with people such as my father-in-law who used to work at the pentagon. I don't know if Judge Rideout takes money from people like my father in law or not, or what payoff he receives from ruining people's lives, but perhaps he is wrestling with his own issues.

I haven't seen my kids for five years thanks to the work of Judge Rideout. I have been to court a dozen times to try to get visitation and no luck yet. I contacted the governor's office and told them that my paycheck was getting garnished to pay child support, I showed them proof with all of my court files where Judge Rideout wrote that I could not see my children again or even write them a letter, but the governor's office told me to go back to court. I have to pay child support even though I haven't been able to see my kids in five years and Judge Rideout forbidded my seeing them ever again. Do not believe the VA Dept of Social Services or Virginia laws when they saw you don't have to pay child support if you cannot see your kids. It is a big lie. My dealings with the Alexandria, VA court system have been a farce.
