Time to ACT. Let's stop Terrorists sign now

Dear Mr.Prime Minister,

We the citizens of India, demand from the Government of India, very strict actions against the perpetrators of the terrorist acts of various kinds, the latest being the one in Mumbai trains.

These perpetrators are at WAR with Indian State and are to be seen thus. And any state or individual who is sheltering, aiding or abetting these heinous crimes need to be also treated in that light.

This is not to be treated just at a slightly higher gear than a crime or law and order problem with the arrested people going through the normal legal process of the country.

Various political considerations about affecting the sensibilities of any particular community/region etc. are to be forcefully set aside and ruthless action need to be taken that sends clear message.

We are seriously concerned about the course of action that is currently pursued with many being rounded up with no arrests yet and some sketches of wanted people doing the rounds. THIS NOT JUST ANOTHER CRIME TO BE HANDLED in this way. This is tantamount to WAR on India.

India needs to react in two specific directions.

1. Harsh anti-terrorist approach. Bomb the places known to train terrorists, close any seminaries where indoctrinations are known to be going on (If we do not know for sure whether and where these things are happening, let's close our IB and RAW. We can use the saved money to make a corpus fund to pay compensation for the victims. If we know and we are still not acting, should we say who is responsible then?)

2. Declare Pakistan as a state aiding and abetting terrorism directly and indirectly and snap all diplomatic ties. Also lobby for the same action by other countries in international fora.

If we fail to act, take these two concrete, totally justified, and appropriate steps, act in a way that will make the families of the 200, who faced a gruesome death (and the millions who commute in the same trains) feel that their lives are respected too, any amount of clamouring to join the UN security council, or any other statistics and figures that may make us appear to join the big league of countries, won't make us a self-respecting sovereign nation.

We urge your Government to act in these lines, so that we feel it is OUR Government that is ruling, and it's a democracy by the people and FOR the people.
