The laws against p2p in Sri Lanka sign now

The ministers of the government of Sri Lanka,

We are from a leading youth organization known as, YSL (youth Sri Lanka) which was established 8years ago. We are are sure that any one in Sri Lanka has heard of our organization and the missions we have accomplished over the last 8years. And how we have helped the general public of Sri Lanka, in their time of need.

There is a new law which is going to be implemented on the general public of Sri Lnka. If this new law is implemented it will ask the ISPs in sri Lanka to, block access to p2p networks and sites.

We, as the Youth Of Sri Lanka, has made a petition on the world wide web. We strongly oppose this new law which is to be implemented. A few the reasons are as follows.

* Sri Lanka is still a developing nation, and most of its citizens are not able to afford to buy/purchase software, music, videos and other content shared on p2p networks.
* Software is a very important factor, which allows us to do our work much faster and easier, but these software costs way too much. as an example, adobe photoshop CS3 costs over 45000 Sri Lankan Rupees.

we have requested international support from those who values p2p. To help us voice-out our opinions.

sincerely
YSL (youth Sri Lanka)
