Texans Against House Bill 7's Implementation sign now

We the People of Texas, recognize the need for fair care for injured workers. The abolition of the Texas Workers Compensation Commission, and other changes to the system, which were enabled by House Bill 7, are which are being implemented by Adoption of Rules by Commissioner Betts, are NOT making the system more cost effective nor fair, but are in fact, endangering the injured workers right to the treating doctor of their choice, and their right to be treated in good faith and fair dealing by the insurance carriers, with a system overweighted in favor of the companies and their insurance carriers.

The institution of these glorified PPOs, codenamed "health networks", in fact realizes the dream of employers and insurance carriers, to force injured workers to go to doctors of the company's choice, and the insurance carrier's choice, and strips them of their right to choose their own doctor from an ADL list of independent willing providers.

We further object to the fact that still, Texas has not corrected one of the most glaring problems in its Workers Compensation system, that Texas ALONE among all the other states in the United States, allows employers to opt or, or not participate in the system, and allows their employees not to have coverage in the Workers Compensation system.

Therefore, we the undersigned, workers, citizens, healthcare providers, and others, are officially asking for the repeal of HB7, and that the adopting rules be invalidated.

We officially are protesting the fact that Texas does not direct all employers to be subscribers in the Work Comp system.

We also offically are opposing the imposition of the "health networks" on workers, since it effectively strips them of their right to choose their OWN doctor to provide care for them.
