Tell the Truth about Our History sign now

We the undersigned are disgusted at the way history has been re-written in Irish school books and demand that it be changed to reflect accurately the experiences of our ancestors.

History All Around is the Dept. of Education textbook currently used in Irish schools which deals with the plantations of Ireland in the 16th century.

The section fails to portray the atrocities committed against the native people who had their land and homes stolen from under them by a repressive English military. It staggers me how they can get away with this in a history book written for Irish children in Irish schools.

How can children make up their minds on what happened if they're not given the facts? Maybe that's the point of these school texts?
