Tell the Senate and President Bush to Give Us a Break! sign now

With the recent retirement of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor from the United States Supreme Court, Presidnet Bush and the Senate will now have to choose her replacement.

This could be a long and difficult battle between Democrats and Republicans.

However, after the 2004 election, Terri Schiavo, the Downing Street Memo, debating exit strategies, debating gay marriage, John Bolton, Social Security, Karl Rove, Dick Durbin and Tom Cruise ... we need a break.

We are asking the U.S. Senators, both Democrat and Republican, to put aside partisan politics and do your jobs.

Ask President Bush to nominate a moderate that most of us can agree on and then vote them in.

Thank you.
