Telecom to unbundle the Local Loop to allow us to have faster, cheaper broadband sign now
This petition is for New Zealand Residents who are feeling disadvantaged by Telecom New Zealand's control over Broadband, or High-speed Internet, in New Zealand. In the recent study by the OECD, New Zealand scored a 23 out of 30 countries in terms of Broadband speeds and prices.
Quote from Ihug.co.nz
"New Zealand is placed an appalling 23rd out of 30 OECD countries for broadband uptake. So people all over the world, including our Aussie neighbours, are enjoying speeds of up to 24 Mbps from just $29.95 a month - that's up to 100 times faster than the broadband most Kiwis experience today!"
If we get enough signatures, we might be able to convince the Government to force Telecom NZ to allow competitors to provide faster, cheaper broadband.
