Team Members for Better Hog-rings sign now

As TISA Team Members, we the undersigned wish that the Total Interior Systems America management to consider the following request and reasonings:

In the past weeks it has come to our attention that management has, in the attempt of lowering costs, begun purchasing a different brand/lower cost form of hog-rings to be used in hog-ring guns. As dedicated team members who have much pride in our company, we understand the need to make a higher quality product while lowering costs to not only benefit TISA, but to also offer a superior value to our customer. However, a great number of team members who regularly work at hog-ringing stations have come to the opinion that any cost savings from purchasing the new, cheaper hog-rings will be eaten up by the various issues listed below related to the use of the lower quality hog-rings. Some of these concerns/issues are listed as follows:

1. Increased number of gun jams due to the thicker tape holding the new hog-rings together.
2. Increased injuries to team members from having to repeatedly trigger guns for operation. It now often takes several additional tries to successfully place one hog-ring
3. Increased injury risk to team leaders and team members who have to un-jam guns.
4. Loss of productivity due to increased stoppages because of increased gun jams.
5. Additional and unnecessary wear and tear on already aging hog-ringing equipment from the new hog-rings not correctly loading into the hog-ring guns.
6. Loss of productivity due to the new hog-rings "bunching up" on the loading chamber, causing the guns to not operate.
7. Increased overtime cost to company from increased line stoppages.
8. Risk of lower quality product and increase of QPI's and QPR's due to decreased strength in new the new hog-rings which have in some cases have broken or become un-crimped.
9. Risk of lower quality product due to the new hog-rings not fully crimping inside the guns.
10. Increased time needed to train new team members on hog-ringing stations due to all related problems.
11. Increased waste of hog-rings caused by jams, breakages, and "just out of the box" already damaged hog-rings.

It is with great pride in not only our work but in our company, and the above issues in mind, that we the undersigned petition the management of Total Interior Systems America to investigate the above issues and consider returning to the old brand/supplier of hog-rings, or seeking out a new brand/supplier that not only meets our cost needs, but our higher standards in quality and safety, and to exceed in our customers requirements as stated by our Quality Policy.
