Support for Restaurants sign now

Like just about every other American citizen, you and I dine out to eat. We use our hard-earned money to pay for the food. Today, we all risk paying higher prices and having fewer choices because greedy trial lawyers want to sue restaurants of all sort, from the major chains to the little diner on the corner. They are being sued because of the food they serve.

Major chains can pay the legal bills, but the independent places cannot. There is no winner when it comes to frivolous lawsuits against restaurants, except for the trial lawyers who want to make money. It's a matter of personal responsibility and consumer freedom.

In short, the people who sign this petition urge you to protect restaurants from frivolous lawsuits and the consumers who may be forced to pay higher prices. We suggest legislation that would punish those who file frivolous lawsuits. Otherwise, that pizza place you like will be gone. It's not just restaurant owners who feel the pinch.
