Students in Support of Professor Byrn sign now

We, the undersigned students of the University of Minnesota Law School, support the candidacy of Mary Patricia Byrn for tenure-track professorship. We feel Professor Byrn is an invaluable member of the Minnesota Law School faculty.

She is an irreplaceable teacher and mentor to both current and former students. Through a variety of teaching techniques, Professor Byrn engages and challenges students in a manner befitting one of the nations most highly regarded law schools. Her classes exemplify everything that the law school experience should be: she requires rigorous scholarship, encourages engagement with the material, and fosters lively debate.

Additionally, Professor Byrn is exceptionally committed to the success of all students here at the law school. She exhibits genuine care and concern for the educational and professional goals of students by offering her time and resources to all who seek her guidance. For these reasons, we support her candidacy. Thank you for your time.

Byrn is one of the best professors I have ever had, and one of the best people I have had the privilege of encountering. Allowing Byrn to leave would be a terrible mistake. She is knowledgeable, caring, down to Earth, and she brings diversity, creativity,
