Stop Video Game Motion Input Discrimination sign now

This is to all future and current video game console manufacturers, designers, publishers, etc. Such as: Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Apple(?), Namco, Atari, Sega, Square Enix, Activision, 2K, Capcom, Atlus, Bandai, Disney, EA, Hasbro, LucasArts, THQ, Ubisoft, Warner Bros, etc.

This petition is to retain "classic" controllers in all games with motion controls (except fitness games, ie. WiiFit, Biggest Loser, etc.) via an in-game option "Motion" or "No Motion" and games that do not implement motion controls, yet. It would prevent waiting for a modified 3rd-party $300+ controller. It includes Sixaxis utilizing Sony games "On/Off." No coin-toss for motion only and both when releasing titles.

Reasons:
1. Discrimination (not likely intentional)
2. Control methods aren't what makes development take long.
3. How much exercise does one need? Probably not 4-10 hours of sword swinging)
4. Leaves a classic video game element

To Define:
Classic Controls - Modern controllers with 2 analog sticks, D-Pad, L/R shoulder buttons, A,B,X,Y/Cross Circle Triangle Square Start Back/Select Center/PS, not including Sixaxis. (You press a button to swing a sword, golf club, etc).

Motion Controls - XBox Kinect, PlayStation Move / Sixaxis, WiiMote with movement of arms/body, WiiMotion Plus, etc. (You hold the controller and swing your to swing a sword, golf club, etc).

We are entering the next generation of video games soon with Microsoft's XBox 720, Sony's PS4 and NGP/PSP 2, Nintendo's Wii2 and 3DS (9 days until Japan releases 3DS) and most notably with the Wii was its motion controls, opening doors to new audiences of gamers. Not often recognized as closing the door on disabled gamers who have poor/no arm mobility by not implementing classic control methods on a lot of games it was reasonable to do so. I started this petition with first-hand experience.

XBox and PS3 are quickly implementing motion controls, not quite as widely, yet. With no arm (still hand) movement WiiMotion was difficult if not impossible, the WiiMotion Plus was released to make movement more 1:1. Stop them before they copy Nintendo's mistake.

Example 1. Zelda: Twilight Princess was offered on GameCube without motion and on Wii with WiiMotion. Controls aside in-game environment was the same as the previous no-motion game in the series. The next game Zelda: Skyward Sword, to be released in 2011, heavily relies on WiiMotion Plus and no alternative. Same in-game concept though.

Example 2. Sonic and the Secret Rings 1P mode was motion that were fine until you were forced to heavily shake the controller to proceed. Same in-game concept as non-motion 3D Sonic games before it. Sonic Unleashed Wii version had an option for WiiMote or Classic.

Sixaxis Example 1. Heavenly Sword (PS3) had an option to turn Sixaxis off and use the joysick.
