Should Young People stay in School till 18? sign now

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am writing this petition to express my opinions and to help raise awareness of the current issue of children being in education till 18 schools action on this problem. As of 2010 December 1.46 million people are claiming jobseekers allowance and are therefore unemployed. I believe this problem to be accused mainly because of young people not staying in education for long enough, and not attaining enough qualifications to achieve their aspirations.

I am asking fellow students, teachers and citizens of the national community such as you to create an impact locally; together through group action we can help the community. We will be aiming to further fulltime education till 18. The advantages to this is to help keep young people off the streets, to raise employment figures in the next few years, to give students better life opportunities and help to educate our population to a further degree.

First I will create posters all about young people staying in education till 18. I will hang these around school in areas which crowd and places people visit frequently, such as the library, hallways etc. The purpose of this is to inform people about this issue and raise awareness. I am also doing this to persuade people to support my campaign as group action is much stronger than individual action.

Then I will send this petition via email to my local MP. I will do this by scanning all the signatures I receive. This is to take national action as I am aiming to change all education in the United Kingdom. To persuade my MP I will need at least 100 signatures and hopefully more. This is where you can help, sign my petition if you believe strongly about this matter such as me.

I strongly urge you to sign this petition, not just for myself, but for the whole of the young people in the U.K., their dreams, their aspirations and their futures. I am sure you understand that young people cannot make this decision themselves, it affects their lives forever. Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to read my petition and please consider the people who have lost their dreams because of loss of education.
