Say NO to mandatory drug testing in schools sign now

I, Sky Tao, have begun and started a big challenge. That is to award and afford the right of freedom of expression to teenagers. The right for teenagers to grow in an environment devoid of negative principles and harm through a publication to which they are given the opportunity to express their interests, be given a chance to experience interests and activities that they are not aware of.

We should not be promoting anti-drugs statements, campaigns as publicaly as we presently are without first promoting activities, interests and ideas that make no mention of them being under the promotion of anti-drugs. We are not giving any other opportunity for our youths to be or try to be but telling them what they cannot do and what they cannot be.

WE CANNOT ENFORCE DRUG TESTING ON OUR YOUTH.

This is not the way forward. This will only result in the exact opposite of its intention. The very reason why there are mounting interests in crime, violence and drug taking within our youths is simply because they have nothing to do. I urge you to realize that going to school every day is the equivalent of going to work everyday. Their homework is the equivalent to the work we as the adults have to do on a daily basis to ensure our careers are not in jeopardy.

The only differences between going to school as a teenager and going to work as an adult is that we are earning our reward in the form of money to which we are able to afford the rights to exercise our interests with in our own personal time. Teenagers are going to school as their duty and obligation as a minor to do so and after completing their daily duty they are then given their personal time.

Our careers should in turn make available in any capacity and possibility to incorporate teenagers to spend their personal time on. We should make this aware and evident to teenagers without the need for the Education Bureau, Task Force and Government to do so. These authorities are also under a duty to ensure our safety and well-being and to place even more responsibilities in their hands leaves the whole economy, the stability and security of this city unbalanced and unmanageable.

To put it in my own words: interests, activities and suggestions made by parents, schools and the Government are automatically seen as control and an order that they must comply to because they are being told what to do. It is a known fact that teenagers are a particular age group that needs to be handled in a particular way.

IF WE IMPOSE A DRUG TEST ONTO STUDENTS WE TAKE AWAY THEIR AUTONOMY. AN AUTONOMY THEY HAVE ONLY JUST BEGUN TO REALIZE THEY HAVE.

Adolescence is by definition the teen years to which are the years of process and/or stage of growing and development into maturity. The ending of adolescence in age by number is 18 although intellectually and mentally teenagers are of equal if not more mature than the legal age of maturity is.

Irrespective of age, they are human beings, they have a right. By imposing a mandatory drug testing scheme we are taking away their rights without even giving them any opportunity to appreciate their rights. Help me stop this.
