Say No to Hazelhurst Quarry Development sign now

We, the undersigned, are in opposition to the proposed 142-property residential development by Harron Homes Ltd at Hazelhurst Quarry, Queensbury, Bradford
Our concerns include, but are not limited to:
Massive increase in traffic (parking places have been allocated for 415 vehicles on the new proposed site!) how will our roads cope?
Noise and pollution
Infringement of privacy, restriction of views, current properties overshadowed/overlooked
Strain on local infrastructure schools, doctors, dentists etc
Uncertainties about affordable housing proposed on the site
Can our already overstretched village cope with this?

We ask that Bradford Council take local residents' views seriously and reject the planning application dated 21st September 2010.

I am totally against this development due to the pressure on local services and roads. However I wonder how many people who have signed this petition live in the newer houses near the quarry and are complaining of being overlooked , double standards ? Add

The roads, schools and general infrastructure of Queensbury simply cannot accomodate any more major developments in the village. It is time the council actually listened and took note of the concerns of the local community.
