Save Walmart's Lay-a-way program sign now

We, loyal shoppers of walmart are writing to ask that Walmart please not phase out their lay-a-way program. This program, which has been in use since 1962, is very important to us, your customers. We have been loyal for years, buying large items on layway, our children's school clothes, christmas items and major household purchases. There is a high demand for this type of program and we beg that you reconsider your choice to do a way with it. Because walmart is one of the few companies that still has a program of this sort, you are getting a lot of business that would otherwise go elsewhere. It would be a mistake to not only your company money wise, but also a mistake you are making in regards to treating your customers to a plesant and unique shopping experience.

This is a great and unique option in this day when jobs are going over sea's and working families are struggling to decide which bills to pay. Buy gas, keep the lights and gas on, get less groceries and eat twice a day versus three times a day, pay my chu

Not everybody can get a Wal-Mart credit card in which is why you took lay-a-way from the stores because you want everyone to use credit cards and not everybody can afford the things they need up front so lay-a-way would allow families to get the things th

If you value your customers, please listen to our plea and consider all your options before taking away your "layaway program". Thank you for the chance to voice our concerns.

Although I realize cancelled layaways pose a financial burden for your company, I myself always complete my layaway contracts. If you could somehow penalize only those who abuse the layaway process by not allowing them to participate for a probationary ti
