Save the Historic Aboff Building aka. Hotel Huntington sign now

The Old Aboff Building(aka. Hotel Huntington), located on the corner of New York Avenue and Fairview Street in Huntington Village is in danger of being demolished so that TD Bank can replace it. We are opposed to the removal of this Historical Huntington Landmark built in 1929. This is a busy intersection and the construction of a drive-thru branch with three lanes will make the intersection even more congested. It is important for the heritage of Huntington Village not to tear down these Historic buildings but instead restore them. We are asking for your support. Please help us tell the Town Board that they need to designate this building as a Historic Landmark. Your signature will ensure this happens.

What are we doing? Are you going to turn the whole island into a concrete mall? That's why I moved to Saratoga Springs. Your town planning guys could learn a lot from them. They cherish their old building and greed and payola don't mean more than maintain

We don't need another drive thru bank on New York Ave. The drive thru at NY and Elm Street already creates traffic problems during high traffic hours.

This notable, historic blg needs to be preserved. Drive thru ATMs more appropriate for stand alone shop ctrs - not in walkable village.
