SAVE HD-DVD sign now

We the undersigned wish to show our disappointment at your early withdrawal of the high definition media race (or war). It is our opinion that you have not placed enough effort into securing a place in the market; it has only been weeks since you dropped the prices of your machines to a buyable price for the general consumer.

As you yourself "Toshiba" have stated neither format has sold to the expectations you predicted. it is our opinion that due to the fact that DVD is a great format uptake on "Next generation" players would not be anywhere near as fast and is likely to occur only when players are priced right and the consumer needs to replace their current machine(s).

HD-DVD IS superior
Network Access (with online steaming in Disc Content)
Quicker Read and start up times
Better backwards compatibility
Cheaper and easier to produce (for you)
Better operational software

You have the production equipment so holding off for a couple more years would not be a great expense. The more machines you sell the more power you will have over movie studios to come onboard.

If you get the marketing right you will do it. In Australia for example I have seen no advertising of the machines so it is clear to see more can and should be done before disapointing all those who have already got onboard.

Please don't let 5 gigabytes win.

Surely there is plenty of room for both formats in this world. As far as format goes we all agree that HD-DVD is the better format and SONY has played dirty in the battle. Give HD-DVD the chance it rightfully deserves; don't let the lesser format win again (I.E. Beta V's VHS)
