Save Bonnies Hair Petition!

It is true that Caroline Chisholm Catholic College has rules and regulations about hair styles and hair colouring that must be maintained, but senseless demands are being made for particular students to change their hair style.

It is understandable that the college wishes to maintain its respect. But I believe that the matter becomes absurd when students are asked to change their hair after having had it in a particular style for a long time. Perhaps the college wishes to enforce a more demanding role in the VCE years, or perhaps they simply wish to bestow fear among the students. However, some claims are undeniably extreme and redundant.

After 3 years of having her red hair in the college, Ms. Hudson, a current student, is being asked by the authorities to change the colour of her hair back to brown. The student in question is outraged about the demand, and many students have taken her side in the argument.

I, and the people who have signed this document, believe that this absurd demand should be put to an end, and allow Ms. Hudson full pardon on the matter. It is not necessary to ask a student to change their appearance after they have fashioned it for over 36 months.

Sincerely,

Students of CCCC
