Rs 51-crore reward for Danish cartoonists head, says UP Minister sign now

LUCKNOW, MEERUT, FEBRUARY 17: The Minister for Minority Welfare and Haj in the Mulayam Singh Yadav government, Haji Yaqoob Qureishi, has announced a cash reward of Rs 51 crore for anyone who beheads the Danish cartoonist who caricatured Prophet Mohammad.

While the state government has defended the Ministers remark as the voice of someone whose religious sentiments have been hurt, a senior member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board has slammed it calling the reward anti-Islamic and anti-humanity.

Speaking to The Press, Qureishi defended his announcement saying it was a concerted decision and the killing of a person who blasphemed Islam was justified.

Addressing a gathering at the Faiz-e-Azam College in Meerut after Friday prayers today, Qureishi announced the reward and urged Muslims to show proof of being himayat-e-Islami by joining in the protest.

Taking the cue, several shopkeepers downed shutters with speakers demanding an apology from the Danish government. They also demanded that New Delhi snap diplomatic ties with Denmark.

After all this instance what I feel is that if someone has commited a wrong thing then its law who is going to punish him, now law in any country gurantees any person to punish anyone on his own.

Neither any religion in the world permits any person to kill anyone. Any religion in this worl teaches about brotherhood, love, care and peace, never-ever we are taught about violence. Whereas then how can such thing could happen and instead of taking action against him, we are just supporting him.

What i feel is that under Court of Law its a crime to motivate any person to kill someone and declare a prize money for it. People getting involved in such act must be punished as per court of Law.

I appeal to our highest Law Body in India, "The Sureme Court" alongwith our "onurable President", to look into this matter seriously and take some action.

Also I feel that International Court of Justice & UN Security Council Must Interfere into this matter and must bring the person involved in such action to court and must be punished as per Law.
