Revoke the ban of violent video games to adults in Australia sign now

Revoking the ban on violent video games in Australia to consenting adults of ages 18 and up.

The game Mortal Kombat comes to mind when the term ban violence comes to mind. The publishing company Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) was denied the right to release and publish the game Mortal Kombat to the matured Australian audience by the Australian Classification Board. The ban being issued on the vote of its just too violent due to a certain major factor of the game entitling players to perform brutal executions with stunningly realistic detail.

This ban essentially is to keep a possible 18+ rated game from hitting store shelves to be sold to consenting adults of ages 18 and up. This act is more or less saying that either the Australian adult population are either emotionally unstable, or that they are too weak stomached to handle this type of violence. The second being doubted severally since the game is bought on the buyers own dime and not giving. Therefor the first statement must be the determined factor to cause the ban of a game to a majority due to the fact that the minority ranging from a very low percentage of mentally unstable individuals who might be effected by the events of this game or individuals over the age of 18 or under due to the purchase for said under aged user by a parent or stranger.

Simply put, the ban is a scapegoat of provoked violence. This being ruled out several times in popular research that video games are less as likely to motivate a brutal act on society just as much as a violent movie. If they arent banning violent movies, why are they banning violent games from an adult audience?
