PETITION TO REPLACE LAS SENDAS BOARD MEMBERS

Please join me in this campaign to repair the community of Las Sendas. Unfortunately, our lovely community has severally gone astray, and accumulated a shortfall of over $6.6 million affecting all residents. The Board has clearly demonstrated that it is dysfunctional, incapable of making even the simplest decisions to restore financial health, and represent the best interests of its residents. Of the decisions it has been able to make, six recent ones have caused severe damaged to our community. These decisions are:

1) Impairment of the Trailhead Athletic Club (TAC), Spa, and Banquet facilities by obstructing their normal operations.

2) Recruiting the YMCA to take over operations of the TAC and Spa.

3) Implementation of .35\% (.0035) Transfer Tax for every home sold in Las Sendas. ($1,400 fee on the sale of a $400,000 home).

4) Causing a $65,000 cash shortfall for 2010, by jettisoning $65,000 of membership revenue prior to any decisions being made on the future of TAC.

5) Failure to issue any follow up communications to residents about decision at the pivotal July 27th, 2010 Las Sendas Board Meeting.

6) Failure to allow for Public Forum prior to Board decisions being made, as requested by Arizona Attorney General.

Based on these and many other egregious acts, I ask you to support the removal of the following Las Sendas Board Members:
a) Dennis Bassi
b) Bev Quisenberry
c) Colette VanDemark
d) Bill Hall

In accordance with the Las Sendas Community Bylaws, we formally request a vote be taken by residents to authorize the remaining President (Joe Galloway), Vice President (Greg Marek), and Treasurer (Paul Shields) to reappoint residents by majority vote for the open board positions.

It is through this action that we believe we can put in place an able Board of Directors that will properly represent its residents.
