Replace Internet Explorer as the "Standard" Web Browser at RMIT sign now

We the undersigned request that RMIT University move to systems which support
standards compliant web browsers (such as Firefox, Opera, Safari etc) rather
than relying on Microsoft Internet Explorer. Whilst there are no truly safe
systems, it is accepted that Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) also presents
significant security risks, quite apart from it's reliance on non standard
features. It is understood that IE will continue to be installed and patched on
Windows systems. The aim of this petition is to ensure that all current and
future web-enabled systems are NOT reliant on IE and are true standards
compliant web applications which run on all platforms. All RMIT web clients
should have to pass standards testing as specified by http://validator.w3.org/
