Religious Tolerance in School sign now

We are asking that the Evansville School Corporation (EVSC) in Indiana be more tolerant to those parents and their families who do not follow a Christian or Judeo based religion, by ceasing to perform religious hymns and songs that reflect only Christian, Hebrew or Catholic beliefs in relation to Patriotism at the annual "This Is Our Story" ensemble at Roberts Stadium and other local school events. We believe that patriotism is not based on any religious belief system and should remain separate, and that *all* faiths should be united within community activities with respect to the children who participate in these activities and their families.

I am not in the community mentioned, and I am Jewish, yet I still support all religious tolerance. It is not right to shut people out for their beliefs.

Intolerance and hate are wrong. You are trusted with the education of children. If you promote intolerance and hate, you violate that trust.
