Reclaim Saturday Morning Television sign now

This is a petition to be posted to Channel 4 to reclaim our saturday morning television in the UK. Back in the early 90s between 4 and 8am we were treated to oddities such as Heathcliff, Rude Dog and the Dweebs, Alfred J Kwak, Ulysses 31, Trap Door, Sonic the Hedgehog, Wizard of Oz, Murun Buchstansangur, Dennis the Menace (US), Around The World in 80 Days With Willy Fogg, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Insektors, Inspector Gadget, and on occasions showings of the feature-length special Animalympics.

In recent times, all but Insektors and Trap Door have ceased to exist in the slot due to the emergence of The Hoobs and various new animations such as Angela Anaconda and Totally Spies. The purpose of this petition is to underline the fact that there are several of us out there waiting for these animation classics to return to our screens (Ulysses 31 having not been seen on terrestrial television in nigh on 11 years, Heathcliff 13 and never shown on digital, cable or satellite). We miss these shows, and this is our statement, and indeed declaration, that we want them back, and we want them back NOW.
