Political Correctness OUT! sign now
In several recent articles in newspapers and online across the UK, people have been shocked and appalled to read that the virus known as "political correctness" has finally wormed it's way into religion. In Norfolk, a little committee known as the "Agreed Syllabus Conference" have 'suggested' to teachers such things as:
- Not referring to the Holy Ghost - deemed "too spooky" for children.
- Not naming the symbolism of the bread as "Christ's body" - because it suggests that Christians are cannibals.
- Pictures of Hindu holy men looking emaciated be banned - because it implies that such men are "weirdos".
- Consign the term "Old Testament" to the dustbin - apparantly pupils believe its contents are no longer relevant.
- Jewish people should refer to the "Western Wall" rather than "Wailing Wall" - because it may imply all Jews are "moaners".
- Muslims should not be shown in photographs "holding swords, Kalashnikovs, etc" - To avoid Islam being equated to terrorism.
- Sikhs shold be wary when showing pupils the kachs and explain their representation very carefully - Could provoke a poor response because they may be viewed by some as "merely voluminous underpants".
Now, I ask you. Is this what is to become of our society. Our "tolerant" and "multi-faith" society being altered and rearranged before our eyes? The suggestions of the "Agreed Syllabus Conference" will go to the ''cabinet'' of Norfolk County Council for approval this week with the aim of introducing them in the autumn.
Stop this politically correct madness now, before it is too late!
