Please help Roselyn Mujaranji sign now

We the undersigned appeal to the United Kingdom Home Secretary Theresa May, Immigration Minister Damian Green and the United Kingdom Border Agency to put an end to the psychological torture being inflicted on Zimbabwean asylum seeker Roselyn (Rose) Mujaranji.

Twenty-four year old Rose recently attempted suicide because she was removed from the care of her aunt and other relatives and friends in Norwich, England and detained at Yarl's Wood immigration detention centre, pending removal to Germany.

Rose does not know anyone in Germany and does not speak German. The prospect of being sent to Germany fills her with dread. Independent medical reports suggest that her history of rape and torture (and the rape and consequent death of her mother) in Zimbabwea has left her in so fragile a psychological state that removal to Germany could have dire consequences for her.

According to Pamela Lowe of Norwich Justice and Peace, the authorities at Yarls Wood are ignoring such assessments of Roses condition, giving precedence to their internal medical professionals views, which we believe are probably biased.

We are pleading for immediate intervention by the relevant persons to bring an end to this deeply lamentable example of extraordinary rendition.
