Petition to stop the Destruction of Forests for Copy Paper sign now

Camosun College uses approximately 7 million sheets annually for photocopying and printing purposes. This paper doesn't contain any post-consumer recycled content.

The current paper manufacturer used by the college has been determined to be the #1 Destroyer of Old Growth in North America and has recently been logging illegally in Canada's Boreal Forest.

The school's supplier offers 100\% post-consumer recycled paper. The cost difference to use this paper exclusively for all printing and photocopying needs for the entire school would be less than 60 cents a month per full-time student

As such a large buying power, Camosun College has the potential to have a great influence on the local paper market. Furthermore, the switch would be beneficial by showing the school to be progressive in terms of sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Therefore, we the undersigned staff and students, call on Camosun College to switch to 100\% post-consumer recycled paper for all printing and photocopying needs.
