Petition to Open Investigation of Climate Data sign now

We the undersigned faculty, alumni, students, and staff of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and concerned members of the community recognizing that:
(1) An honest and open discussion of data is essential to the scientific process.
(2) Recently disclosed communications among several climate researchers at East Anglia University, Pennsylvania State University and beyond have revealed efforts to conceal data and suppress an open scientific discussion.
(3) This effort to conceal data and suppress opposing opinions on the theory of anthropogenic global warming may have resulted in incorrect conclusions and public policy actions which are unwarranted by scientific truth.
Together insist and demand that this matter be investigated thoroughly by our elected officials before signing, approving, or ratifying any legislation or treaty motivated by scientific reports that may be flawed or biased.
