Parole Jeff Perrotte 2007 sign now

Jilly Rizzo lost his life in a tragic accident late in the evening on
May 5, 1992. The longtime friend of Frank Sinatra died when a car driven by Jeff Perrotte slammed into his Jaguar. The Jaguar burst into flames and took
Jilly's life.

Like far too many Americans, Jeff drove under the influence of alcohol that
night. Months later, California convicted Jeff of second degree murder and
handed down a 15 years to life sentence. Today, Jeff Perrotte lives in the
California Correctional Institute in Tehachapi. May 5, 2007 will mark the
beginning of his fifteenth year of incarceration.

The reality is that Jilly's death in this tragic accident was avoidable;
this is the message Jeff Perrotte now shares across the world. From the
heart of prison, Jeff does everything possible to help reduce the pain and
suffering that his actions brought so many.

He is a changed man. Sober ever since entering prison, Jeff earned a
bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degree in an attempt to become a contributing
member of society. He has put his educational training to great use. Through
his messages, published articles and website at, countless lives have been saved.

Jeff regularly receives letters from around the world from people who have
taken his message to heart, promising that they will never again drink and
drive. Many organizations, including The Betty Ford Center, California's
LEAD Program, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Outside
The Classroom, DUI Schools, Recovery Homes, and hundreds of websites throughout the world, use Jeff's messages and curriculum to save lives. They have recognized his tremendous efforts from within the walls of prison to help others in their community. Just maybe, someone you know is alive today because of Jeff's efforts..maybe even you.

Jeff has unselfishly given much to help others. Now he needs the help of
thousands of people from across the world to help him.

Ask yourself, "Do I believe in redemption and forgiveness?" And if so, once
a person has rehabilitated himself, a fact to which those closest to him
testify, and when the person has taken steps which have saved countless
lives, does that person deserve a second chance?

This summer, Jeff comes before the California Board of Paroles. We are
asking you, and everyone you know, to help him win release. You do this by
signing the petition, and then sending this email to everyone you know. The
petitions will be gathered and forwarded to parole officials. This is
extremely important, and here is why:

Jeff faces pressures unlike most other prisoners. This is because of the
close bond between Jilly Rizzo and Frank Sinatra. Sinatra, as you know, is
one of the most beloved entertainers in history, and he had many friends.
Too many of them want Jeff to remain in prison his entire life. And that is

Jeff knows he hurt Jilly's family and friends by his actions. He takes full
responsibility for that, and knows he cannot change what happened. It is
what has driven him to not only rehabilitate himself, but to help so many
thousands of others.

On the outside, Dr. Jeffrey Perrotte will devote himself to changing
attitudes and habits that will save lives.

The list of people who support Jeff's parole is indicative to his efforts of
changing his life, and the lives of others. The Trial Judge who tried
Jeff's case in two strong letters to the Board urges his release and return
to society. The current, and prior, Mayor of the City of Rancho Mirage where
Jeff will parole, and where the accident occurred strongly support his
release back to their community. He states, "Jilly would never have wanted
this young man to be in prison so long."

California has twice denied Jeff parole. Without your support, his upcoming
parole hearing in June, 2007, will be no different.

The fact is that 99 percent of those who commit the exact same crime would
have been paroled ten years ago. If we expect some sort of return from our
prison systems, then we need to send Jeff back to the community where he can
continue his work to help at-risk teens and save lives on a much larger
scale. Society is no longer being served by his continued incarceration.

Jeff's wife and children hope that you will support this petition, as do his
many family and friends. Please help us bring him home. Please sign this
petition and then forward it to everyone you know so they may sign as well.

Jeff prays that you will not drink and drive. He hopes that you will check
out his website,
and forward it to anyone that makes the same, seemingly harmless, mistakes that he made.

Thank you and God Bless You.
