Other state pilgrims to Sabarimala gets taunts and humiliations:Petition to Kerala CM for fast action sign now

Respected Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri.VS.Achuthanandan,

We all appreciate the single minded dedication with which your honourable Government has brought about development programmes with a radical blend of "capitalism and Communism'. Your government's efforts in improving the infrastructure ,IT enablement of the governance, facilitation of IT industries and employments, eradication of Chickengunia and other diseases, development of ecotourism, despite a fractious and vitriolic political environment in Kerala is indeed highly commendable.

As regular Sabarimala Pilgrims,we would like to see some quick action against the "Culture" of traders and the attitudes of some groups of general public who aggressively exploit ,deride or even humiliate the pilgrims from other states in various forms thereby jeopardising the lofty egalitarian culture of Kerala.

A few exmaples that millions of Pilgrims experience are:
1)Traders taunting the other state pilgrims
2)Buses and passengers reluctant to accomodate lonely Ayyappas
3)Domination on other state pilgrim's vehicles by abuse
and rudeness while overtaking or passing over or even for a share of the ribbon thick roads of Kerala
4)Price hike and deliberate offering of substandard service or product to other state pilgrims
5)Most extreme rudeness to other state pilgrims that often strains the nerves on ether side:

All of us can state many personal experiences on each of these. But we find it is irrelevant as this has become a a chronic symptom of "cultural backlash" in a specific region of Kerala in a specific time interval towards specific groups (other state pilgrims).

In our opinion we feel ,the Kerala Government and the Devaswom board should do a massive PR exercise in educating the traders and the laity that (1)Pilgrims from other states (only) bring thousands of crores of revenue to the state in the form of revenue to lakhs of traders during the Sabarimala season (2)That they have to be treated with dignity and respect due for any customer to the services of the Kerala State

As many of us are topnotch consultants and entrepreneurs,we would only be too glad to even organise such a programme which will triple the economic growth in the eco-tourism.

With regards and Best wishes for all the success of your government
