Open Letter to Rabbi Bouskila From STTI Congregation sign now

An Open Letter From the STTI Congregation:

Our Dear Rabbi Bouskila,

It is very seldom that a congregation makes such a close connection with a rabbi as we have with you over the past sixteen and a half years of your service for STTI. The impact you have had on numerous families, dozens of young adults, and the issues we care about cannot be described in words.

You have guided our youth with the Maccabim and Hakoach programs, spearheading visionary trips to Israel, New York, and Washington, D.C. You have inspired the hundreds who have been Bar and Bat-Mitzvah'd under your leadership. You have given us the strength to come together in times of hardship and sadness. You have provided us with the wisdom we seek in a spiritual leader, all the while maintaining a progressive and accepting outlook that should be expected of a spiritual leader in the 21st century.

You and your family have given us more than we could ever give back. What we want you to know is that you have our full support and backing wherever you go. This congregation has thrived under your leadership. The countless programs that you have supported would not have had the impact they do without your leadership.

Your position at Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel is cherished by our congregation. Of all the different decision makers at STTI, your standing has been the most important to us during your tenure. We hope that you take this letter as a vote of confidence from our congregation to you, fully outlining our continued support. We understand that you have received many similar calls and letters and wish that our leadership would show more outward appreciation for such a valued leader and friend.

The meaning of this letter, accompanied by the numerous signatures of congregants below, is to make clear that A) We are grateful for all that you have given us, B) That the doors of this temple and the hearts of this congregation are always open to you, now and in the future, and C) That your vision lives on as a part of this temple for years to come.

We truly love you as our Rabbi, our friend, our teacher, and our source of guidance. We have cherished your time here and would be honored to join forces once more in the near future.
