Ontario Students Against OUAC Scam sign now

We, the undersigned, call on the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) to change the statement located on the COMPASS.101 websites and booklet, eInfo website, and all other forms of electronic/physical print/communication that informs prospective applicants that their "three initial university/program choices cost $105" while "each additional university/program will cost an additional $35."

Whether intentionally or otherwise, OUAC appears to be using a simple marketing technique to convince Ontario students that the first three schools are given to them at as "deal". In reality,

35+35+35=105

and, therefore, the price is the same no matter how many schools/programs you apply to.

The Undersigned which to inform OUAC that they not going to fall for it anymore. Ontario students are smart enough to use basic math. We don't need to be tricked into applying to three universities/programs. If OUAC wants to encourage a variety of choices, it should just come out and say it.

We would also like to affirm that this is not about the cost or where the money goes. OUAC may not even be aware of its mistake in wording.

Thank you.
