Non-banned smoking in Entertainments Outlets. sign now

To: Singapore,
Non-banned smoking in Entertainments Outlets.

Last Year, the government banned smoking from all coffeeshops and only allowed certain coffeeshops to allocate a miserable 10\% to 20\% space for smokers. People complained but no use.

This year Jul 2007, they are going to ban smoking in all the entertainment outlets like pubs, ktvs, discos and in turn, allocating a miserable 10\% to 20\% space for smokers.

I think eventually they want a Totally Zero-Smoke Singapore, and they will not stop until you are only allow to smoke in your own home!

We are Not Demanding that Smokers can Smoke Everywhere again, nor that Non-Smokers must be exposed to our Second-hand Smoke. We respect their Right to Not be exposed.

Tobacco is still a legal product, as are automobiles, and alcohol, and we tobacco smokers in Singapore, numbering approximately 12\% of the population = 600,000 !!, are still a very large segment of the hard working, tax paying citizen of Singapore. We pay more in taxes including tobacco taxes than any other group.

We Demand Our Rights To Be Equally Served and Accommodated !

On the issue of Second-hand Smoke, most common sense people realize that the fanatic anti-smokers' alleged claims are grossly over-exaggerated.

Kids and adults today are exposed to more pollution every day, than from an entire life-time of Second-hand Smoke exposure. Talk about the haze from Indonesian and recently from Thailand but Government lan lan cant do anything resulting our poor citizen breathe in second-hand smoke.

The increasing volume of cars due to a price decrement in COE(Cert of Endurance?), you need to endure more of the traffic jam and moreover the air-pollution from this vehicle.

The increasing prosperity of a country, population going to 6million, also results in increasing demand, demanding factories to produce more things, and in turn factories air-pollution!

So what is the goverment trying to tell you now in term of smoking ban? It is going to tell where you can shit, you can eat and drink, what to wear, where to live and work, how many babies you shld have and how to make love(oh, good thing is they allowed oral sex to be legal now), who to vote for, what to believe, and even what to think eventually.

What we want, is a place where we can drink and smoke and de-stress at the same time freely. Even this type of pathetic rights have to be snatched away. In Hong Kong, they have entertainment outlets where they catered to smokers and non-smokers. In Hong Kong, they got a choice! In Singapore, we got no choice but stick to the miserable small yellow box!

Sign Our Non-Banned Smoking in Entertainment Outlets today !

Before it's too late for you're Choices too.
