New Teenage Driving laws: They suck! sign now

Dear Gov. Ehrlich,

It has come to my attention that new laws will be enacted for us teenage drivers, as of October 1, 2005. These will include banning the use of cell phones for teenagers while driving, extended time in driving classes, more adult supervision, and no younger passengers allowed to be in the car until a certain time has passed.

I know that it is for the good of drivers, passengers, and pedestrians alike, but I find it unfair for there to be MORE laws to follow while on the road, as if the ones we had weren't enough to deal with. Take a lesson from history: the British taxed the people in the American colonies a whole lot, thinking it help them all, but it didn't and it caused an entire revolution to begin and the deaths of thousands of people.

On top of the illegal war in Iraq, the Patriot Act, the FCC, and other such laws, this comes into play. We find these new laws to be a sign that the government is gaining too much power and using that power to boss people around endlessly and it is irritating to all. Teenagers drive to gain independence, get away from troubles, hang out with friends, and be accepted as responsible people, and then these new laws show up and consequently, take away the things we like so much about driving in the first place. So by making tougher laws that strip away our rights to "protect" us, you're making life more difficult and irritating than it needs to be right now.

We would kindly ask that you consider revising these dictatorial laws or getting rid of them entirely, so that the government will not becom Nazist.
