Netflix: Reconsider raising your prices for those who rent Blu-ray format discs. sign now

My self and others are concerned by your statement that the high cost of the Blu-ray disc format are going to cause you to raise your monthly prices. Not only are the discs not that much more expensive. The average life expectancy of the discs are 1-3 years based on your 2007 annual report. As the format matures the price of disc will level out in line with the current DVD prices. There is no guarantee that the monthly fee will return to pre-hike rates.

I will either switch online rental services or cancel your service, or seriously consider one of the previous two options if this comes to light. Please take this into consideration when making your decision.

I could understand a $1 price hike, but $3 is ridiculous.

    Outrageous

Considering the majority of your new Bluray releases are delegated to "very long wait" for months on end, I find it laughable that you think your customers would be willing to pay a premium on a service that is already horrible when it comes to high-def.

Outrageous, there is no call to up the rates to this extreme, $1 was bad enough, but there is NO justification for this

You obviously do not care about your customers.

The monthly increase won't equal out when users like me drop the service!

Ridiculous price increase on top of another price increase that equaled no improvements in service or availability

Less than half of my queue is blu-ray discs and you don't seem to be able to ship discs in a timely manner anymore and you're going to triple the additional charge for blu-ray service??? I can let the blu-ray option go.

I never thought I'd see the day when in which I would wish Netflix was more like my cellular service provider. At least when previous customers lock-in a low rate, they need not concern themselves with future price-gouging which may be motivated by an eco

As a long-time customer, I am thoroughly pissed about this absurd surcharge and will now be considering other options, such as Blockbuster online.

Not a good time to do this to customers.

Now raising from $1.00 to $3.00 dollars extra, this is a farce at best. They will continue to raise price and forever claim they are more expensive even as blu-ray prices drop
