National Recovery Day - Superbowl Monday sign now

With an estimated 30 million plus viewers, Superbowl Sunday is by far one of the most watched spectacles each year. Football is America's pastime, so why not let Americans embrace this day by making the Monday immediately following the Superbowl a holiday? Every year Americans struggle to wake up for work or school after a day filled with partying, celebrating, and even disappointment. Those that actually make it to work are often working tired or hungover, which means poor work and diverted attentions. Rather than wasting a businesses money on this poor work and potential work place hazard why not give Americans a day off to recover? This is why were are proposing the creation of a holiday called "National Recovery Day".
This day supports the average American. Rather than punish those who enjoy the national pass time, we propose that we embrace something that isn't likely to change any time soon. Football is here to stay and as long as there is football there will be the Super Bowl. We need to acknowledge the needs of the every day American rather than fight them off. In the long run we would have happier Americans that would be grateful for a day of recovery after a hard years work.
