Mr. Favre, Aren't You Tired? sign now

TO EVERYONE: PLEASE HELP ME, HELP BRETT FAVRE STAY OUT OF MEDICAL DANGER. ALSO, HELP HIM REST AND TAKE A NAP SO THAT MY RESENTMENT DOES NOT GROW ANY LARGER. YOU SIGNATURES WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

We all love and respect Brett Favre. Well, atleast I do. He was the starting quarterback with the Green Bay Packers for 15 years until he announced his FIRST retirement on July 11, 2008. Everyone was ready to give Brett a nice retirement farewell. He served his team and his fans well. Three days later, July 14, 2008, Mr. Favre began to speak publicly about his return. I like to be positive, so I gave him this one. I thought his love of the game was just so immense, that he could not give it up. Well, we can all see that the Packers did not want Mr. Favre to return, so he was traded to the New York Jets on August 7, 2008 in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2009 draft. His stint with the Jets went well. After discovering torn biceps tendons in his right shoulder, he decided that "it may be time to look in a different direction". On February 11, 2009, he announced his SECOND retirement. 18 seasons had finally taken its toll on this football legend. So we thought...June 15, 2009, Mr. Favre stated that he WAS considering on returning to the football field, and on August 18, 2009, signed a 2-year, $25 Million dollar contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Mr. Favre saw those dollar $$$$$ signs that all of us regular "folk" would love to see and his greed took over more than ever. I always had this thought in the back of my head: He just wants a super bowl (maybe I heard that somewhere; I'm not really sure). It's true; I can't name a football great that has yet to win his rightfully earned super bowl ring, but I think if you haven't achieved that goal in the previous 18 seasons, it's probably not going to happen. Upon hearing of his SECOND attempt and retirement and comeback, I decided that Mr. Favre was not playing because of his love of the game, but for himself. His goal now is not to win the super bowl, but to create a winning team out of the Vikings. So, Mr. Favre, the Vikings couldn't make themselves a winning team; the only way it was possible for them to become a winning team is for you to step in? You are sadly mistaken sir. It takes more than ONE man, no matter how much of a legend, to bring a team out of the bottom. Example: New Orleans Saints - It took a new head coach, quarterback, running back and well, just a complete team makeover. You sir, are not the exclusive answer to the Vikings and their winning season. You have a natural ability to put off a vibe that makes some people just not want to DEFEND (HAHA) you; as we saw in your 15 years with the Packers. No player wanted to help you out. Even the owner and manager were tired of your attitude. *SIGH* I am not writing this petition to embarrass you Mr. Favre, but to let you know that it's time to take a nap. You are getting up in age and I would hate for Nicholas Barnett or another Packer, to throw your hip out tomorrow (October 5, 2009). Mr. Favre, this is for your health. Now, I think, and this is my opinion, you should stick to your Wrangler Jean and Best Buy commercials. They are very safe and if you keep busy with those two projects, I do not foresee any hip replacements in your "near" future. I do stress the word "near" because, it will happen eventually and we just can't lie to ourselves any more.
