Movie Premiere Synchronization sign now

We the undersigned are worried about the fact, that when Motion Pictures Association Of America files lawsuits against exploiters and manufacturers of illegal copies of films made by member studios thereof, its left hand does not know what its right hand is doing. Those of us, who are not U.S. citizens, hereby wish, that it would be more common to synchronize than to stagger the premiere dates of the same movie in different countries, because the fact, that we can no longer wait for the release in our own countries once something has been released in the United States, gives illegal exploiters a chance to get onto our markets before legal import, and no doubt the illegal exploiters have used this market gap to their advantage and to the detriment of legal copyright holders. Though we agree with you that this is basically wrong, because you are losing your money in this business, we also think, that you should understand, that in order to file lawsuits against these infringers, you have to stop the willful creating of chances for them by willfully directing so, that while the film is already being shown in theatres in the United States, we outside the U.S. cannot see it yet, instead of that we are kept waiting for a longer time. We want to prefer seeing our films rather on time than too late, and we hereby sincerely hope, that the worldwide scheduling of premieres would better match the scheduling of premieres in the United States in the future. Those of us, on the other hand, who are U.S. citizens, we want to support our foreign friends' rights to see their movies rather on time than too late by signing this petition. We sincerely hope, that before the Motion Pictures Association Of America files lawsuits against exploiters of illegal copies, they should understand that it is our advantage if worldwide synchronization of releases without staggering them should be a condition that should be met before any lawsuit can be filed. We appeal to the fact, that the 1948 United Nations' Universal Human Rights Declaration has in addition to Article Twentyseven about copyright also Article Nineteen about freedom of speech also in the receptive direction and regardless of any geographical frontiers as well as also Article Thirty, which guarantees that no article of the declaration can be misused to insult someone else's rights guaranteed in another article of the same declaration. We also remind you of the fact, that language translation is no acceptable reason for these delays any more either, because we can name a number of examples where the worldwide releases have already been simultaneous - two latest episodes of a set of six films in series called Star Wars directed by George Lucas as well as all three films in series called Lord Of The Rings directed by Peter Jackson and written by John Tolkien are the most famous ones of these examples - in those cases the releases have been simultaneous worldwide despite the fact that it takes its time to translate from English into other languages. Many of us who have signed this petition don't necessarily need any translation, neither subtitled nor dubbed, we can listen to the original soundtrack in English and we understand what is spoken even if there were no translation.
