Move the 2012 All-Star game to Fenway Park sign now

Dear MLB Commissioner Mr. Allan H. "Bud" Selig

The 2012 All-Star Game, in our opinion, MUST be played in historic Fenway Park. The Ballpark will turn 100 that year, and as you granted Yankee Stadium the 2008 All-Star game to commemorate the final year of that stadium, it is only fitting that you honor the most historic, and oldest, Sports Venue in the country with this event. No disrespect to the good people of Kansas City, but the 100th anniversary of a ballpark should be commemorated by this type of event. I realize Fenway hosted in 1999; this, in my strong opinion, should be inconsequential. Again: the Ballpark will be celebrating its 100th birthday in April of that year; the most fitting way for the MLB as a whole to recognize this is to grant us the All-Star game. It would be perfectly reasonable to move the KC All-Star game to 2013, 2014 or beyond, giving Boston the 2012 one. The 2008 All-Star game was meant to honor the final year of Yankee Stadium (I) why not honor the 100th year of the Red Sox playing in the Fens. I understand the 2008 one because Yankee Stadium was historic, and the Yankees have the most championships in North American Sports History at 27, 26 at that time...but the Kansas City Royals have been pretty bad for a long time now. While that is irrelevant, the history associated with Fenway Park, "America's most beloved Ballpark," where some of the greatest players in the game patrolled left field, is absolutely NOT irrelevant should take priority over them, when they aren't even opening a new stadium, or celebrating a major milestone in the history of their present one.
