MICROSOFT: Please fix the XBox Live Gold Family Packs!! sign now

Microsoft XBox Live Gold Family Pack has been seriously broken since its introduction. Many users are not aware that any of the three users who join into a family pack gold account (other than the primary user) will not be able to download Mature rated content even if the online safety settings allow it.

Microsoft has failed to publicly admit the problem, provide coherent and universal work around information, and release a public timeline for a final solution. Calls to the XBox Live support center can result in any number of responses from flat out denial, to misinformation, to helpful advice that allows the user to deal with the issue until it is fixed. The fact that they can't provide consistent support on this issue speaks to the ultimate lack of communication and acknowledgement within Microsoft itself. With proper directly and guidance to the support team, the customers could be given a consistent and helpful response to this issue along with an expectation of when it will be fixed.

This is March. The problem has gone on since November. Please sign this petition asking Microsoft to do three things:

#1: Microsoft: Please admit that you have a problem with XBox Live Gold Family Packs and CLEARLY explain what the problems are, how it affects downloading Mature videos, games, and game add-ons for sub-accounts within a family pack regardless of their family protection settings.

#2: Microsoft: Properly communicate this issue up and down the chain of command. The highest Xbox Live Executives down to the lowest / newest Phone Center Support personnel need to fully understand the complete scope of this problem and the support personnel especially must understand that there is a TEMPORARY work around of initiating the download of Mature content through http://marketplace.xbox.com via a computer and web browser.

#3: Microsoft: Figure out how long this will take to fix so that sub-accounts who are allowed full access won't be blocked from downloading Mature (M Rated) content. Once you figure this out, communicate it with the public via your website and technical support personnel.

It is that simple. Anything less than this is a disservice to your customers. Please recognize that you promised us that we would be able to manage what our sub accounts could access and you have failed to deliver on that promise since the very beginning. Take this seriously and communicate with your customers. That is not too much to ask.

Anyone who feels the same way should sign this petition.
