Mandatory Biodiesel At The New York Pumps By 1/1/2011! sign now

After the disaster in the Gulf Mexico, it should now be self evident the need for a radical shift in our energy resources and our local economy. This is a petition to the State Of New York's leadership at all levels from the local to the State Assembly, to create a new paradigm for the production and access to renew biomass fuel systems. The petition and the people that sign it are supporting the following reform programs:

1) Greater access to biomass fuels in general to the local population. However, primarily the concern is to see that starting on January 1st of 2011 all levels of diesel distribution start to distribute a diesel with a minimum of 5\% biomass content by volume.

2) That at least fifty percent of the biomass fuels used in the State of New York be developed by local producers of biomass products, refined by local sources of distillation, and be sold to local distribution outlets at a reasonable price to the consumer.

3) That all local producers of biomass feedstock be given a specific portion of the final product for the specific use of the producer to reduce his or her environmental impact in the production process.

4) That all producers of the biomass be local small business entities and not subsidiaries or affiliated with multi-national or trans-national corporations.

5) That all local municipality vehicles in the State of New York, official State vehicles, School Districts, and official vehicle of the Cities of New York State by the first of January 2011 use a minimum of biomass blended diesel fuel of 20\% by volume.

6) That within span of five years from January 1st, 2011 all distribution services in the State of New York will supply the consumer with a Diesel Fuel blend of no less than 50\% biomass content by volume.

7) That starting January 1st, 2011 the State of New York will start a comprehensive initiative to recycle no less than 50\% of all biomass material in the state ranging from cooking oils to used building materials (but not limited to just these materials). That this initiative will in a five year span reach a 90\% recycling rate of biomass waste in the state for future fuel development.

8) That by January 1st 2012, bio-diesel fuel blends for heating will be sold at all distribution centers in the state. That a fund will be set up to support the less fortunate in the communities of the State to ensure these persons have access to heating fuel during the winter months.

9) That people of New York State will be an integral part of the new programs to create a cleaner, locally produced fuel supply that will create new jobs, and sustain both the energy needs of the community and transportation needs as well.

The question that is petition is asking is who controls the resources of a nation? It's people or a specific few members of a global society based in large Trans-National Corporations? Today, by signing this petition you are telling the State of New York and the larger Federal Government of the United States that "We the People" still have a voice and we wish to changes that benefit all instead of only a few in our societies.
