Lower the British voting age to 16 sign now

We, the Undersigned believe that the voting in age in the United Kingdom should be lowered to 16. At the age of 16 a person can get married, divorced, and fight in political conflict, but does not have the right to vote. We also believe that people of 16 years and over should also be able to stand in parlimentary elections (including Westminister, Scotland, Wales and Ireland)as well as coucil elections. This would provide the United Kingdom with a fairer electorate and a more Democratic voting system!
