Lift the Bans at fanfiction.net sign now

To the moderators of fanfiction.net,
Your recent banning of 'blooper' fanfiction has prooved to be a bit of a nuiscance to writers who contribute to your website. I can understand the banning of author fanfics, as they are an invasion of the actors's privacy, and using the review space as a message board can be a waste of harddrive space. However, your bannings of MSTs and other various forms of work has annoyed many authors and I, as one of them, am requesting that you lift the following bans.

1) The banning of MST fanfiction
2) The banning of list fanfiction
3) The banning of blooper fanfiction
4) The banning of Harry Potter author fanfiction
5) The banning of original author stories

I'm also requesting that you inform an author if they have violated the rules before removing their work. Assuming that they know what they did does not help a problem get solved. Send them an e-mail informing them of how they broke the rules and give them a chance to fix it.

If there are any more requests to be acknowledged, please regard the signers' comments.

Thank you for your time.

-Old Major

If it's written by a fan, then it's fanfiction, correct? I see no point in banning Original Stories.

I just want you to at least let them have bloopers fics.

I'll just straight out say it. I thrive on fanfiction. Writing fanfics has been my way to relieving stress and/or emotions. I find it to be some sort of writing that helps you express what you feel. And I'm not done yet; Although you may have a right to r

You know, you mental midgets who have signed this petition with all your righteous indignation are twits. SAVE copies of your work no matter where you post it, for one. It's stupid not to. As for the material that has been banned, guess what? Most blooper

I'd really appreciate it if you ppl at ff.net would warn us if we did something wrong. We can't read your minds.

No blooper fanfiction!? HOW RUDE!! We all like good bloopers, and I was thinking of joining, unless if you staff aren't going to allow me. I have some great stuff in mind, but don't do this to those who spent days of their short life to write this. Don't

I've emailed them. Several times. They don't listen. I don't think they'll listen to us, but there's still hope! Also, WTF is "you based" supposed to be? Is that where the author is in the story? Or where the reader is? Cause I have several of them. Also,

If you must delete somebody's fic, the very least you can do is send them an e-mail explaining WHY you're doing it and give the poor author a chance to fix it! I mean you changed all the rules so most people don't know about them, and suddenly they find o

Most of these new rules are just silly, I mean banning script-style fics? It's just not right! I feel it contradicts FF.net's slogan, what is it, "unleash your imagination and free your soul" huh? Yeah right...there's no freedom when you need to abide by

FF.net should be a place to let creativity grow, not be stifled. If you keep limiting what people can and cannot write, pretty soon only fictions you like will be allowed. What will be banned next? Parodies? Crossovers? Songfics? Slash? *shakes head* No m

I have just come back from camp to notice that you have gotten script format banned. Script is in no way whatsoever disruptive to anyone, and is preferred by many people, including me. Lists can be a little irritating if you weren't expecting one, and som
