Legalization of Public Nudity sign now

Clothing distorts the way we see things and alters our natural decision making process. There are three ways in which clothing is the great unequalizer.

First, clothing enables class discrimination. Clothes may not make the man, but you would never know it. People judge each other by the clothes they wear all the time. At a nudist resort, you will find bankers, lawyers, ministers, teachers, factory workers, police officers, people from every aspect of life, interacting irrespective of their status in the textile world.

Second, clothing enhances body discrimination. The truth is, fat isn't so fat, and thin isn't so in, but when you throw clothes into the situation, a skeleton queen would make your heart go pitter patter, and a fat person assumes every bad connotation you ever imagined.

Third clothing creates sexual tension. Once again, in the absence of information, our minds fill in the blanks. We see what we want to see, and most of the time, what we see is false. But it still makes us lust for people we otherwise would probably pass by. And when our relationships fail, we blame it on the other person, because we always knew what we wanted and genuinely thought we were getting it. Clothing only lets people see a small part of who we are. It's easy to understand why it's so hard to find a good relationship, when our society is based on hiding most of who and what we are.

Some people find nudity offensive and say that it shouldn't be legalized because they shouldn't be exposed to that. However, that doesn't make it any more just that nudity isn't legal. If they don't like it, they don't have to look at it. It's as simple as looking the other way.

Nudity is a right that every human should have, and it isn't right that people are forced to cover their bodies that they were born with. And thus forth, humans should have the right to wear their natural bodies in public, for whatever reason they may have.

To the United States Congress:
Please legalize nudity in public places in the United States. As said above, it is a right that every human should have, and it isn't just that humans don't have a right to wear simply the body that they were born with.
