Keep Honors Credit in NC Arts Classes sign now

We, the undersigned, petition the North Carolina School Board to continue to offer honors credit for juniors and seniors in high school arts classes (band, orchestra, chorus, drama, etc.). Removing honors credit will adversly affect the QPA's of many of the students involved in these programs. Students involved with the arts in North Carolina make up a disproportionatly large percentage of the total number of students represented on the honor roll each quarter. Removal of honors credit may discourage high-achieving students from participating in the arts programs.
