Justice for Colonal Jorge Medonca sign now

We, the undersigned, are civilians and members of the armed forces alike. We are from many walks of life with different race, sex, sexuality etc. We sign this petition in defence of Colonel Jorge Medonca, who is to be wrongfully prosecuted for the death of an Iraqi civilian.

Colonel Jorge Medonca has been held accountable for his mens actions and he has insisted that he was "nowhere near" the building where the death happened in Basra. But if he has been held accountable for his mens actions then senior politicians up to and including the Prime Minister should also share the blame and be held accountable. Colonel Jorge Medonca has been dragged into a politically correct witch-hunt. If this goes to court and fails then we, the undersigned, would expect the men in senior positions, including officer and politicians, to answer with their resignations.

The prosecution, if it occurs, would be against everything this country stands for. We, the undersigned, are hoping that the country, the army, the MOD, the government, the people of the UK and too all other involved will support the officer.
