Investigation by Office of Statewide Prosecution sign now

Pursuant to Florida statutes, the undersigned registered voters of the State of Florida, request that Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum and Ronda Storms, chair of the Florida state Senate Committee on Children, Families and Elder Affairs, request the Office of Statewide Prosecution within the Department of Legal Affairs to initiate and conduct a statewide investigation into possible violations of the following state statutes:
1. FS (Florida Statutes) IV (Title IV) 16 (Chapter 16) 56 (Section 56)1 (Subsection 1) a (Subsection a) 6 (Subsection 6) [FS IV 16 56 1 a 6]:

Any crime involving, or resulting in, fraud or deceit upon any person

2. FS XLVI 895 02 a 4

Section 414.39, relating to public assistance fraud

3. FS XLVI 895 02 a 30

Chapter 817 relating to fraudulent practices, false pretenses, fraud generally, and credit card crimes

4. FS XLVI 895 02 a 36

Chapter 837, relating to perjury

5. FS XLVI 895 02 a 38

Chapter 843, relating to obstruction of justice

6. FS XLVI 895 02 a 44

Sections 914.22 and 914.23, relating to tampering with a witness, victim, or informant and retaliation against a witness, victim, or informant.

and possibly engaging in a pattern of racketeering activity, as defined in FS XLVI 895 4:

Pattern of racketeering activity means engaging in at least two incidents of racketeering conduct that have the same or similar intents, results, accomplices, victims or methods of commission or that otherwise are interrelated by distinguishing characteristics and are not isolated incidents, provided at least one of such incidents occurred after the effective date of this act and that the last of such incidents occurred with 5 years after a prior incident of racketeering conduct.

The undersigned registered voters of the State of Florida also request the investigation by the Office of Statewide Prosecution also examine the possible application of FS XLVI 825, relating to the Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of Elderly Persons and Disabled Adults for possible violations of Florida statutes in the cases of Catherine Ristow (reference Case SC04-166) re: attorney Patricia Strowbridge of Orlando, Florida and
Allison Quets re: attorneys Michael Shorstein of Jacksonville, Florida, Norman Levine of Longwood, Florida, and Patricia Strowbridge of Orlando, Florida, due to either mental impairment in the case of Catherine Ristow or temporary mental impairment in the case of Allison Quets due to the mental and physical impact of the medical condition known as hyperemesis gravidarum, as well as any and/or all of the previously cited Florida statutes, and any other individuals who contact the Office of Statewide Prosecution about the actions of these cited or any other attorneys licensed by the State of Florida or private adoption agencies dealing in private adoption and child custody cases in the State of Florida.

The undersigned registered voters of the State of Florida believe the Office of Statewide Prosecution is the most appropriate investigative entity to conduct such an investigation based upon its statutory charge for when any such offense is occurring, or has occurred, in two or more judicial circuits as part of a related transaction, or when any such offense is connected with an organized criminal conspiracy affecting two or more judicial circuits.

The undersigned registered voters of the State of Florida request the Office of Statewide Prosecution forward to the Chair of the Florida state Senate Committee on Children, Families and Elder Affairs a copy of their final investigative report on the above cited attorneys as background information and request that the Chair of the Florida state Senate Committee use such background information as the basis for a hearing into abuses of professional responsibilities by the above cited attorneys, and any other attorneys and/or private adoption agencies or other parties involved in adoption and child custody subjects in the family law courts of the State of Florida.

The undersigned registered voters of the State of Florida also request that the Office of Statewide Prosecution forward to the State Bar of Florida a copy of their final investigative report on the above cited attorneys and possibly other involved attorneys as background information for investigations by the State Bar of Florida into any potential violations of Florida state statutes or rules governing professional actions and responsibilities for disciplinary actions to be determined by the Supreme Court of the State of Florida.

The undersigned registered voters of the State of Florida also request that the Office of Statewide Prosecution forward to any professional and/or vocational regulatory authority within the government of the State of Florida any background information relating to any other entities and/or individuals licensed to partake in any profession and/or vocation into any potential violations of Florida state statutes or rules governing professional and/or vocational actions and responsibilities for appropriate disciplinary actions by any such professional and/or vocational board.
